Young Strata exists to provide professional strata management services with the personal touch, serving residential and commercial clients.

Young Strata was established in 2015 to meet the demand for responsive, professional service. The agency is well positioned to meet the demands of:

  • large, complex, or politically challenging schemes requiring technical proficiency,
  • schemes with defects that require additional support,
  • commercial, industrial, retail, and mixed use schemes that often have non-standard requirements,
  • high-value schemes requiring professional and responsive service,
  • mid-size schemes (40-80 lots) that often do not have a building manager appointed so require extra attention, and
  • smaller schemes seeking high quality management for peace of mind, reduction of long-term costs through improved visibility and planning, and social harmony.

Licensee – Russell Young

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce as well as postgraduate Accounting qualification, and having enjoyed a successful corporate accounting career exceeding a decade, Russell’s strength with financial and legal/regulatory concepts is an excellent base from which to assist clients. His career achievements in process improvement and also in procurement, apart from financial control, demonstrate versatility. Such success required, and further developed, his ability to collaborate effectively, and to zero in on critical issues.

Initially working in Strata in 2012, and more recently managing schemes in 2014-15 through Sydney’s inner city, inner west, northern suburbs, north shore, and hills district, Russell is strong on the technical aspects of Strata Management and derives satisfaction from solving problems.

Russell was a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & NZ until 2018, and also trained in Building – graduating top of his class at TAFE for the Cert IV in Building (Construction). He also holds a Cert IV in Property Services (Operations), is licensed as a Strata Managing Agent by the NSW Department of Fair Trading, and is a member of the Strata Managers (Licensed) Chapter of the industry body Strata Community Australia (NSW).

Russell is also a member of the Policy and Legislative Committee of Strata Community Australia (NSW).

No-lock-in Contracts

Young Strata understand that many clients have experienced unsatisfactory service from other Strata Managing Agents in the past. Our standard agency agreement allows for termination, without needing to demonstrate cause or failure, with three months written notice. We want our clients to stay because they value the service, not because they’re bound by contact.
